I've been making 64bit MinGW builds of x265 since the beginning without
any toolchain scripts like that. You just need a 64bit MSYS and a
64bit MinGW compiler and use the current build/msys folder as-is.
Now I wonder how to "correctly" set up an MSYS64 environment. I wonder if
one better should try to install all required MinGW packages piece by
piece, because:
{ http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/mingw-w64/wiki/MSYS }
"There will never be a 64-bit native MSYS (is there any need?) because the
only compiler capable of building MSYS applications is the outdated gcc
3.4.4, which does not support x64 native Windows targets."
There are several guides how to make one. They are all a bit elaborate and
slightly different. I am not sure if I want to take the efforts of trial
and error with my lack of experience if I already have a working
cross-compiling solution now.
