 Hello,

you can start any other command inside the boot environment and you can change the filesystem to rw for debugging purpose. You should try starting x2goclient by hand and other applications with the same user and as root. I think this is caused by user permissions (or group membership).

the rights are ok, but the automatic starting of x2goclient end with a loop, because the display environment variables are not set(or not correctly set).
(manually starting x2goclient is OK (with DISPLAY=:0.0 ).

Our questions are:

1.) where is the variable of the DISPLAY env. variable is set/initialized/configured ?

2.) must ldap-client software be installed on the thin-client locally ?

3.) the the parameters for x2goclient are in the documentation
/opt/x2gothinclient/etc/default/x2gothinclient. This is false. Is the right file name x2goclient ?

hello,
installation with ldap:
the program x2goclient
( in /opt/x2gothinclient/usr/bin )
starts, but exits with the message
"cannot connect to X server" .
the parameter file
/opt/x2gothinclient/etc/default/x2gothinclient
is present, but also if it is not present it gives the same error-messages.

please send us the necessary information about parametrisation of this program.

the program is started again and again on the thin-client("endless loop").
