thank you for your explanations about the firefox plugin.
I did a simple search and found this link:

I don't how you are building the xpi plugin, but after reading a bit,
seems that it is a pretty nice way of making a firefox extension based
on local native libs. And I think it can be automated, too...
Of course, you still need the windows machine to make a windows
compatible plugin, so waitinf for your new server is a must, too :)
If I can help, with this task, let me know, please. Not much of an
expert, but ...
