Mihai, Thanks for getting back to me promptly. When your x2go osx client is ready for testing please let me know and I would be happy to validate it. Also for the record, I managed to get sound out of a ubuntu server configured with gnome as the window manager. I was originally trying to use openbox and I have had zero luck with either debian or ubuntu as the server. I have not had a chance to try debian with gnome yet, but I would assume that it would work where openbox did not.
