In fact that's one of the reasons I'm asking, I've seen lots of people having
this problem with windows-combinations (and there are windows-based solutions), but I haven't found anyone with this problem in the pure linux world. Maybe no one is using it that way? I should add, I wrote servers, in fact I was talking
'bout desktops, of course. For me often there's no difference, so let's talk
'bout "desktop-servers". :)

So this is really weird then. I use several desktop sessions from my notebook on several servers. I can paste between different sessions on different servers and also between session and the local X display. No matter if sessions run in desktop mode or rootless mode...

So I have to scratch my head on this...
