please use ISDN as setting. There should not be that much of a difference compared to DSL. If you use MODEM or ISDN, the timeout tolerance now gets doubled, otherwise the timeout stays as it is (20s).

about 20-60 seconds outage and I would be happy if the connection survives this outage. So for me it would be cool to set the timeout in seconds (needs not to be in gui for me), but maybe my case is too special...

If you want a more elaborate solution, then feel free to contract me as a developer for one day (800,-EUR).
