I see this slowness, as well. It also occurs with non-KDE applications (like GnuCash). Interestingly, the resizing works find inside an nxagent desktop session (and only exists in rootless NX sessions).

Actually, the resizing with content shown is smooth in NX desktop sessions. Not displaying window content is a work-around, there must be a way to address this performance lack in an NX directly, I guess.

Change of topic: Do you use nxproxy -C <-> nxproxy -S or nxproxy -C <-> nxagent constructs in your scripts.
