Thanks for giving Pyhoca-GUI and Python3 a shot. Has a python3'ish
wxpython already landed in Fedora? Obviously.
In Debian, this is still all on Python2.
I'll take a look the coming week.

In Fedora there is python3-wxpython4. Will probably need some porting.
