I'm afraid it doesn't fix the problem.
I've noticed that the problem could be xfdesktop doesn't start.
When I connect from a Linux client xfdesktop is running fine. If I run
ps I get:
david 18930 0.7 0.1 596776 29604 ? Sl 09:00 0:00
xfdesktop*--display :2000.0 --sm-client-id
2456deb04-20c4-46de-886f-7c2faed5464b*
But when I connect from a Windows 8.1 client, if I run ps I get:
david 19925 0.0 0.0 495836 10728 ? Sl 09:01 0:00 xfdesktop
It looks like xfdesktop can't run properly from Windows 8.1 client.
Pleas help me, I'm stuck.
Any ideas?

I can connect fairly well to my x2go server from Windows XP,
Windows 7 and Ubuntu clients.
But when I connect from Windows 8.1 64 bits I see a black desktop.
I do see menu bars and they work fine, but I can't do anything
