OK, I brought up Ubuntu 15.04 on an Amazon EC2 instance, installed x2go
and MATE, and everything works.
The performance is really quite decent -- I am impressed.
For people like me who are terminally challenged, it is very sweet to
have a desktop in the cloud.

At this point, I would suggest adding to your documentation that for
Ubuntu 15.04 people use http://wiki.mate-desktop.org/download and
follow the steps for Ubuntu 14.04 with "Ubuntu MATE"
My next step is to see if I can get this working on an EC2 instance.

So far my experience is, like every other X/Windows I have ever
used, it is a royal pain in the .... to get things configured and
working.
Where do I go from here?
