Bear, If you're trying to use X2GoServer on Windows Subsystem for Linux, and intend to use is as some kind of RDP replacement for your Windows Desktop, my guess is that it is bound to fail. There is no way to display Windows applications or the Windows Desktop natively via X2Go, as they don't output to an X Server, but to Windows' GDI. You'll only be able to display Linux applications/a Linux Desktop running within WSL.
To further debug your issues: Run the native Windows X2GoClient.exe in portable mode - that way it will create a "sessions" file rather than saving its settings to the Registry. Post the content of that file to the list. As root inside WSL, run: netstat -ant as well as netstat -tulpen and also post the output of these commands to the list.
