I read you reply to Michael Ashley, and although I don't have any messages from
the client about missing fonts, I do use two different computers running X2go
clients talking to the same linux server. I thought it was worth a go trying
the fix you suggested to Michael in your email.
A search of the x2go server did not find the file x2gosuspendagent but I did
find the file x2gosuspend-session, so I linked this to /usr/bin/true.
Low and behold, my X2go client on the iMac connected and is now working fine.

Rather than using my iMac which has stopped connecting to the sever via X2go, I
am struggling to work with the small screen on my MacBook which connects to the
linux server through X2go perfectly. X2go is a great system if only I can get
it to work again on my iMac.

I have a MacBookAir and that still connects to the same linux box fine via X2go
client.
I did get a message the other day on my iMac that I could update the version of
Xquartz, which I did and continued to use X2go client successfully following
this for a while and then X2go client then stopped working when I tried to
connect one morning.
I have subsequently removed this new version of Xquartz and installed the same
version as on my laptop, 2.7.11 but I still am unable to connect.
I have also removed X2go client and reinstalled but still no joy.
Any hints or ideas would be much appreciated.
