Hi Sami,

Xerces 2.5 binary releases are not compatible with Xalan 1.7 binary
releases (which are only compatible with Xerces 2.4).   However, you can
rebuild Xalan from the source package to create a Xerces 2.5 compatible
version.   The upcoming 1.8 release will be binary compatible with Xerces
2.5.
