Yes, you must use Xerces 2.6 w/ Xalan 1.9, If you look on the Xerces downloads 
page, you can find the prior versions to download.

I only wanted to add that I'm using XERCES 2.7.0 and
XALAN 1.9.0. Is there a problem of compatibility... I
saw on the site that XALAN 1.9.0 should be used with
XERCES 2.6.0, but I couldn't find any 2.6.0 version to
download.
