Please advise where I can obtain instructions on how to

If I should be applying patch2.txt to release 10 and not the snapshot

I don't know what "nightly builds" you are referring to. We don't
have any official nightly builds, so I can't vouch for their state.
I have tested the patch on a local build, and it seems to fix the
problem.
