The reason I tried the Mingw-Make was, that Cygwin-Make does not work.
I get an Error:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/xml-xalan/c/src/xalanc/Utils'
Makefile:71: *** multiple target patterns. Stop.

This was the reason to start with Mingw-Make.
And for Mingw-Make I have to specify the XALANCROOT in Windows form.
