Hi Dave, I do not try that, because I do not know how. I just want to call the xalan-c within my java program. I am not able to use the xalan-j version, because there seems to be a different behaviour at some points between xalan-c and j. And in our productiv env we use xalan-c and so I hava to test against it. Does a good freeware c-ide exist, where I can debug xalan and does there exist anywhere sone instruction how to debug?

Have you tried running the Debug version in the IDE and debugging it? Dave
