Please consider subscribing to the user list. Otherwise, I will have to moderate your posts, and that will delay them.
I have no plans for any more major updates to the source code before the release. It would be good if people could do some testing with the head of the repository and post any problems or feedback.
Since I've never actually done a release, it will take me some time to figure out the build and release mechanics. Unfortunately, my time is at a premium right now, as I've just transferred to a new project at work. That will have some impact on how much time I can devote to figuring out things like how to build the documentation, and doing the actual documentation updates. There are also some issues with the current web site that I will need to deal with.
