Since we're using version 2.1.0, we were hoping to understand the limitations, if any to using UTF-16 to encode non-english characters.
I hope someone can respond to this list (and me directly, as I'm not a member of this list) and tell me what's going on. I'm willing to get my hands dirty and help with debugging and fixing the problems, if any, with the 2.1.0 version.
