Do you have any timeline for a new release based on DTM model? Is
there any maintenance release planned for the current Xalan based on
the stree model?

I will certainly port my changes to the DTM model, so I'll start
taking a look at the DTM code immediately. However the project I work
on, requires some modifications to Cocoon2 that need the Xalan patch
I've submitted.

If the DTM release is going to be scheduled a couple months from now,
is it possible to have a maintenance release for 2.1.0 that includes
my patch? In the meantime I'll work on the DTM version of it and post
it on the mailing list.
