Hi Paul,
Actually, I came to this conclusion also, so I deleted the source for the
nightly build of xerces, and rebuilt xerces from the 1.4 official release.
Now I just have to resolve the copy constructor issue with XSLTInputSource.
Xerces is compiling fine. I'm sure at one point I had the cvs xalan
compiling, but now it isn't. I'm beginning to suspect my compiler, as it
was upgraded from 5.0.0.0 to 5.0.2.0. I'm wondering if they broke
something. On Monday, I'll test everything against a 5.0.0.0 compiler, but
for now I'm going to go back to Xalan 1.1 and see if I can get around the
problems I'm having somehow.
Thanks,
Anthony

Please respond
to xalan-dev
Anthony,
I would suggest that you use one of the distributions instead of these
nightly tar files from CVS. The distribution contains the latest released
version of Xalan, with accompanying versions of Xerces. These can be found
at http://xml.apache.org/dist/xalan-c/. However, if you want the latest
CVS sources, you'll want to get version 1.4 of Xerces.
