Multiple output documents

I'm trying to create multiple output documents a la James Clark's XT
(xt:document) and the current XSLT 1.1 Working Draft:

I know writing code to a changing draft isn't high on anyone's priority
list, but I was wondering what is the best way to achieve multiple output
documents. Has someone written an extension for this?
