There have been a couple 1.4 betas that have gone out, so I'm not sure. I
think Costin, who is on vacation this week and maybe next, can answer your
question.
I know he is trying to get the DTM stuff in on the next beta.

This is really hard to answer. Though we are working with a set of
benchmarks, I don't think they are really representative right now.
Because the timings are so operation dependent, and configuration
dependent, for a 200K-300K file, you may see almost no difference, or you
may see an order of magnitude improvement (see message titled "Xalan
2.2.0D6 has great performance gain!" and my reply).

Hi,
Just wondering what version of Xalan is in JDK 1.4 Beta? What I really want
to know is whether that version uses DTM. What is the general performance
(in terms of footprint and speed) increase for using DTM? (Parsing files
about 200K-300K in size).
