Don -- We currently only point to the latest release. I think we should have both the latest production release as well as the latest developer release (if any) on the index.html page. Or, maybe if the "Xalan Java 2" on the main xml.apache.org site points to a developer release, we just add another section saying something like: "This is a developer release and may not be as stable as the current production release which can be obtained here: ..."
