Downloaded the Xalan 1.2 distribution for Solaris from xml.apache.org. 2. Used _gtar_ to expand the archive. 3. Set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the lib directory of Xalan, and the lib directory of Xerces (inluded in the Xalan distribution). 4. Ran SimpleTransform. Make sure you've downloaded the correct distribution for your platform. You do not need to download a Xerces distribution, since the Xalan distribution includes the appropriate Xerces distribution.
