Hmm - do you mean you downloaded Xerces-J 1.4.3 and used the xalan.jar
you found inside their distro?  If so, you're using the Wrong Version
of Xalan, and need to switch. (Xerces sometimes includes a backlevel
version of xalan as part of their build tools, which end-users should
*not* use in production environments)

See http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/faq.html#faq-9 and run the
EnvironmentCheck utility and send along the output from that to the
list, so we can make sure you have the current version.

(Hmm - the org.apache.xalan.xslt.Process command line class doesn't
output the version in it's help text, which I thought it did.  I'll try
to fix that)
