This problem has been reduced to a considerable extent by turning on 
the "Garbage Collection" [ from 'default' to 'yes'] in the JVM settings of our 
webserver [Netscape Enterprise Server 4.0 SP4].So at this point we have 
concluded that the memory leak has occurred due to the JVM's inability 
to "garbage collect" memory space faster, when our application is running under 
a heavy load.
