http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4813 xsltc returns substring even when start and length args invalid Summary: xsltc returns substring even when start and length args invalid Product: XalanJ2 Version: 2.0.0 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: Other Component: org.apache.xalan.xsltc AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] xsltc should probably agree with Xalan on this one. The test sets the start argument for the substring function to -1 div 0 and the length argument to 1 div 0. Since neither is valid, it would be better not to return anything -- although a very very low priority, seeing no one would ever do this in a million years.
