This is not an XSLT question, so this is not the appropriate list.  You
could post a question to the Xerces list, but you might just try reading a
good book on the DOM, as it will explain how you can import a node from one
document to another.

Xalan 1

I have a Document (A) and I need to copy a node of (A) in another Document
(B).

The statement

   rootOfB.appendChild( elemOfA );

does not work.

What is the righ way?
