We've completed a Xalan-J 2.3D1 developer's build and posted it to our usual site. Note that this BUILD IS NOT FOR PRODUCTION USE; it still has several known significant bugs. Please see further notes below.

Sources tagged 'xalan-j_2_3_D1' Notes: - Like I said, this BUILD IS NOT FOR PRODUCTION USE. It's prime purpose is to see if any technically-minded folks wanted to get a sneak peek at our 2.3 build that now uses Xerces 2.x, etc. Since there have been a large number of minor (and major) changes to code, performance, the new parser version, and packaging, we'd appreciate any feedback on things we might have missed. - Uses xercesImpl.jar compiled from xml-xerces/java sources updated -D '2002-01-25 14:00'. This build behaves better than the Xerces 2.0.0beta4 in most, but not all, cases. One particular bug you'll probably see sooner or later is presence of an extra entity at most lineendings in your output files; See http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6041 - Special build note: this xercesImpl.jar version fails to 'build docs' in this Xalan build; I used 2.0.0beta4 to manually do that step. See http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6046 - Some performance work has been done; in particular some memory savings, especially with numbers of RTFs or variables. - Special website note: since this is not for production use, we don't plan to update the website except to put a brief note that this build is here for the daring. - Shane <.sig tagline="Remember, it's not for production use!" /> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
