Well, this stack looks suspiciously like a compiler bug.  The only thing I can 
suggest is that you try doing a clean rebuild of both Xerces and Xalan with 
optimizations turned off, to see if the optimizer is doing something evil.

Otherwise, I have no idea what we can do to fix this, since it's blowing up 
deep in exception handling code.
