This question was asked recently, and the answer is we'll provide binaries if, and when, we can find the time to do it. The current CVS sources are compatible with Xerces 1.7 for those who want to build their own.

Hi,
We notice a new version of Xerces C++ 1.7 was released a week ago. However,
the latest Xalan C++ 1.3 is still linked with Xerces 1.6. Is there any plan
to provide new binaries for Xalan on all platforms linked with Xerces 1.7?
(Or are you expecting all developers to do this relinking themselves?)
Providing binaries on Apache website with the current standard compilers
would be very convinient.
Thanks,
Yu
