As long as you maintain the instances that you used to "compile" the
stylesheets and XPaths, there should be no problems.    Once those
XalanTransformer and XPath evaluator instances go out of scope, the
compiled stylesheets and XPaths will be destroyed, and you'll have a
dangling pointer.

One other piece of information:

In both cases, I would be using different XalanTransformers and
XPathEvaluators to used the compiled objects rather than the original
object that did the compiling.
