http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9901 OutOfMemoryError on executing XSLT Transformation Summary: OutOfMemoryError on executing XSLT Transformation Product: XalanJ2 Version: 2.4Dx Platform: Sun OS/Version: Solaris Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: Xalan AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We have Java application running on Solaris which processes messages from legacy systems and converts them into into XML based messages using XSLT transformation. Since we receive lot of messages we have Multithreaded application to handle the messages. Scenario: When we process 1000 messages the application runs fine for 180 messages and then throws OutOfMemoryError We used Apache Xalan-J_2_3_1 version of XSLT. We also did a performance analysis on threads usage but they working fine for all the business conditions. When we used Xalan-J_2_4_D1 the : The application processed 2500 messages. This is when we used SINGLE thread based execution The application processed 860 messages. This is when we used FIVE thread based execution Explanations or Solutions for similar problems will appreciated. Thanks and Regards Lakshmipathy
