Xalan has provided bridge implementation for Xerces DOM to Xalan DOM. Can this bridge be used for any DOM?
Some methods in Xerces DOM used by the bridge like DOMImplementation.getImplementation() seems to be specific to Xerces DOM and not defined by DOM Level 1 or 2. Does that mean the bridge is specific to Xerces DOM and I need my own bridge for other DOMs? And Chaitanya, where is it mentioned in Xalan-C documentation that the behavior or Xalan is undefined with versions of Xerces other than 1.6.0?
