Note that this might change in the near future, as most distributors
will ship their comming releases with gcc 3.2.  So it might sense to
provide the binaries of the final release with gcc 3.2 ABI.

BTW: I have tested the release candidate with gcc 3.2.  Works
perfectly sane here.---Ok, I haven't tested really hard up to
now.---Let's say, it at least builds (including all the samples).  ;-)
