Hmm, maybe when I tested my original patch, I was actually testing the Xalan in
J2SE 1.4.  If this wasn't the case, it must have been a "cat /dev/random >
/my/brain".  Anyway, the new patch looks good to me (haven't tested it, though).

Additionally, I think minor severity for this one is a bit low, since it is
nowadays easy to get Xalan to produce broken comments, which means
non-well-formed XML.  I'll bump it to normal, and am looking forward to see this
applied...
