You can see the stack trace is down in the standard library. We do extensive testing on Win32, which has good heap debugging, and we've never had a problem with something like this. Freeing unallocated memory on Win32 would certainly report an error, and I would suspect on Solaris we would eventually corrupt the heap and crash horribly, which doesn't happen. If you do find out anything from Rational, it would be great if you could report back the results. Since this crops up from time-to-time, we could have a better response than just "we think it's a probably with Purify," which, although is probably true, is not necessarily the best answer.
