Hello! Some time ago Lionel and I had a brief discussion [1] about incremental transformations & Xalan. Unfortunately Lionel was the only Xalan developer to participate in the discussion. Does this mean that the other Xalan developers are not interested in such a mode of operation?
[1] http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xalan-dev&m=104584124019085&w=2 In any case I think there are a lot of applications for incXSLT and many developers with a potential interest in incremental transformations have not taken to using XML technologies precisely because there is no incremental XSLT processor available. So, I have the following questions: 1) Lionel, would you consider releasing the existing incXSLT code to the public? 2) Can this existing code be integrated with Xalan? How tightly would incXSLT have to be integrated? Would the "core" of Xalan have to be changed or could incXSLT work as some kind of "plugin"? 3) Whatever the necessary changes to make Xalan support incXSLT might be: would the Xalan developer community welcome such a change or veto it? All in all, I am interested in an incremental XSLT processor. I know Lionel has written such a piece of software and I would be very happy to see it released to the public. Is that going to happen? (I hope so.) Under what conditions? Regards, Felix -- Felix Breuer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
