The diff is against latest CVS. It also adds support for FreeBSD and (experimental = untested) support for NetBSD. Further more it updates runConfigure and configure.in to improved build framework a bit more. Last but not least it fixes lirary naming for elf platforms. The changes are very intrusive but some care was taken to not break too much. at least OS390 lib: target may be broken. Anyway please test on all possible platforms. It will not add any ldconfig calls as this is a problem of packaging. The patch will also be available from http://sources.zabbadoz.net/freebsd/ports/xalan-c-1.5-cvs-build.diff
