Possibility to assign handler for document('') in XSLTC

Sorry we're coming back asking for a clarification so late.  A URIResolver can 
be used to resolve URIs for all references to the document function, including 
document('').  Does that satisfy the requirement you've identified?  If not, 
could you elaborate on the requirement, providing details of how such a handler 
would work?
