http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=30681 <xsl:namespace-alias stylesheet-prefix="foo" result-prefix="#default" /> ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-09-02 20:59 ------- Okay. Just to harmonize the terminology, what the spec calls "there is no default namespace" is what I had called "the default namespace is not assigned" and I think the latter is slightly more accurate. (After all, what do you call the result of of xmlns=""? I say it's deassigning the default.) The Namespaces in XML spec takes the rhetorical approach there there always *is* a default namespace, which can have an empty or non-empty URI. I hope that future drafts of XSLT 2.0 will adopt that terminology. That's an interesting restriction they have on use of #default when the default is unassigned. It limits the flexibility a little, but I doubt that there will be many complaints --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
