-fno-elide-constructors does not solve the problem at all for me.

Building cvs HEAD does have the same problem for me.

Compiler is gcc 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809). What do you mean with "command-line 
name"?

BTW: How can one reopen a bug in this bug reporting system?
