That version number indicates you're using the version of Xalan-Java that IBM 
includes in its JDK or that ships directly with some of its products.  Please 
report the problem through IBM's official support channels to have this problem 
fixed.

The problem is also reproducible with Xalan-J Interpretive, so this is still a 
valid bug report.
