Gareth, There should be some cleanup of unwanted upgrade files. Microsoft is known to put loads of undesired configuration information in the upgraded and migrated .NET projects.
I will try to create clean MS .NET 2010 solution and project files once I have a configured virtual machine at my disposal. If you can't wait, then ... create a zip file of the *.vcproj files and post to JIRA for review. If you find compile issues with the suggested upgrade, please respond to this xalan-dev mail list. There is a significant change in *.vcproj architecture between .NET 2008 and .NET 2010. These files are XML based. In the .NET releases of 2003, 2005, and 2008 -- the *.vcproj files were elements with configuration content as named attributes. The change in .NET 2010 is to replace attribute/value content with element/value content. David Bertoni has tested Xalan-C with VS 2010, but the development products were not updated to the trunk. I don't know if he has the time to commit. Most of my effort today is creating project web page documentation for the CurrentSVN release for Xalan-C Version 1.11. Sincerely, Steven J.
