I agree. The idea of a "heartbeat" release, show we are alive is good.

A blocker I found so far is the Sun labs "brazil" dependency in one of the
examples. Do you have a copy of this jar around? The Oracle link to the
project is broken.

fixes for JIRA issues) would be a good start. The project is suffering from
inertia right now; no activity in the repository in last 20 months and a
user list that has only had ~35 posts this year. A bug fix release would
show some sign of life to the community and perhaps attract some interest
again in contributing.
