JIRA-451 - XSLT top-level parameters
Files in JIRA XALANC-451 (-rev3) support top-level XSLT stylesheet parameters
of type string, number, and nodeset in an integrated way. Every
XPath XObject type allowed by the XObjectFactory is allowed and
properly handled.

I am ready to do some integration builds on the CurrentCVS/SVN trunk
relative to the JIRA XALANC-451 enhancement.

I don't have the platform for MS VC6. but I can incorporate into
Microsoft VC7.1, VC8, VC9, VC10 a new sample program to demonstrate
how to initialize XSLT top-level parameters for strings, numbers,
and nodesets. Patches to XalanTransformer also support any of the
XPath XObject types that can be created with the XObjectFactory.

See the (-rev3) files that have been added to JIRA XALANC-451
for testing and analysis. Before committing to the tree, some
of the JIRA comment tags will be removed to avoid codebase clutter.

Your help with testing will be appreciated. Any comments on the
matter are welcome to the xalan-dev@xml.apache.org mail list.

This code integration and cleanup has been a long time in coming.

Your comments on this matter will also be incorporated into the
documentation for Xalan v 1.11 pre-release.
