Hi Christian, I'd love to push a release out soon, it's just a matter of time :( It's on my to do list to get a 2.7.2 to pick up trunk fixes as you mention. I am not sure when I'll take the time to do that or help do it though. My goal in general is to get XPath 2 in Xalan FYI.
