Greetings! After compiling the GNU make on FreeBSD-9 and renaming the executable to gmake, I was able to successfully build:
Xerces-C 3.1.1 - Release [OK] Xerces-C 3.1.1 - Debug [OK] Xalan-C 1.11 - Release [OK] Xalan-C 1.11 - Debug [FAIL] The native c/c++ compilers are GNU. I needed to declare LD_LIBRARY_PATH in preference to LIBPATH for the build to proceed. Steven J.
