Hi there.

This issue may have mentioned before, but definitely not on this
list :) AFAIK, the

 <xsl:output encoding="whatever"/>

element is just a hint for the transformer what encoding to use. Now I
have the case where i have iso-8869-1 docs and stylesheets, but
_require_ utf-8 output documents. When I set

 <xsl:output encoding="UTF-8"/>

to my stylesheet, the result doc starts with

 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

but the output contains stuff like

 <deutsch>IDE 403 Verstrker</deutsch>

which is IMHO no UTF-8. Can anyone help on this issue plz?

Regards.
